Global warming is a huge issue, if we dont act very fast the results are just scary. People must wake up. Protect our mother earth.

I was reading the fact that the earth has warmed up by 1.4 degrees Fahrenheit since 1880. It would be great to when during these years did global warming peak

Right after man made his first appearance on the earth. And shortly after that, a deep iceage set in for nearly 100,000 years. People are so arrogant with their knowledge, as to believe that man, who produces less than 5% f the world's co2, can make a difference in that which is a normal cycle. Fear not, the polar regions will be frozen once again.

Again. Yes there are global climate cycles but what is happening now is not part of a global cycle. It's happening way too fast and too suddenly. If you had done even a minimal amount of investigation of the AGW science you would see hundreds of scientific papers on this topic, all coming to the same conclusion. It's man-made, it's primarily CO2. Please stop repeating naive simplicities fed to you by some blog or political blowhard. At least start with with learning the basics of AGW: http://www.skepticalscience.com/argument.php

Ken, in general your facts are well grounded as are some of Jens. There have been a couple of natural, more rapid climate changes than the one man is affecting (mostly rate, not the fact it is occurring). Also it is scientific fact, that on a percentage basis, man is one of the least contributors of C02 and even of that, autos are a small contributor compared to say homes. Also, the more grave concern is the natural release of methane. So, lets help get the facts out instead of all our hyberbole fed from both sides of the extremes. It is also a fact, that if extinction did not occur, man would most likely either not have developed or we would have developed in an entirely different form! So, I like facts as you do and I am sure most folks do. Let's all work together in a compassionate, nuturing and helpful manner. thx

After having experienced one of the coldest winters here in Denmark - I second global warming somewhat. Just my view on this. rgds, Michael

Not only in denmark, in many countries in the world the weather is crazy, it seems to be the global warming. Maybe in 50 years we can have sunny holidays in the alps. Regards, Nicole

I was reading the fact that the earth has warmed up by 1.4 degrees Fahrenheit since 1880. It would be great to when during these years did global warming peak... or has it been a steady increase over time. Also the fact that Montana's Glacier National Park only has 27 glaciers compared to the 150 in 1910 is concerning.

To stop global warming will have to plant 1000 trees per day in the world so let's support the Go Green for earth.

This needs to be required viewing for kids in school, hopefully we can find a way to fix this problem sooner than later
